About Little Bird Childcare

Our Philosophy

The Reggio Emilia Philosophy is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education, which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. The Philosophy rides on the coattails of the innate curiosity of children and aims to assist them with understanding their world and who they are in it.

Our environments are Reggio Emilia inspired, our third teacher, and developed with your little one in mind. They are always clean and calm, and our teachers are incredibly loving and invested in your child’s development.

Our Centers, Teacher and trainings

Qualified Teachers

We are childcare professionals and love to work with children in their early learning years. We help them to develop socially and emotionally through self discovery, mindfulness, and play.

Our teachers are all enrolled in the Oregon child care registry, require annual training, and have completed their safety courses.

Education & Training

All of our teachers have complete educational courses in early childhood education and annually take a minimum of 15 hours of extended child development courses.

Conveniently Located

Little Bird Childcare has 4 locations to help provide childcare in the Willamette Valley. Two of our locations are in West Salem, one in Lafayette, and the newest in McMinnville Oregon!

Inclusion and Diversity Stance

Little Bird Childcare supports a culturally responsive pedagogy and best practices in early childhood education. We celebrate diversity and inclusion and do not discriminate based on race, religion, or sexual orientation.

We celebrate Pride!

LGBTQ-inclusion supports a student's ability to empathize, connect, and collaborate with a diverse group of peers, and encourages respect for all. All students deserve to feel welcome at school, including students who identify as LGBTQ and come from LGBTQ-headed families.
